Broadband has been out for a long time now, so why the disconnect factor?

Title pretty much says it all.

You would think, after how many years broadband has been out, one would think all this "ISP disconnects" and other services having disconnection problems would have ceased itself by now.

Hell, how long have I had cable, and still to this day, my ISP has issues.

You would think, the industry as a whole, would have some f***king way to end all this disconnecting crap and move on already.

Does anyone know why this still happens? I mean, come on, I've had broadband cable for as long as a I can remember, only to hear "We are performing network upgrades/maintence, your following areas may be inable to access the internet at this time, blah, blah, blah" (no this didn't just happen, I'm just saying)

You would think this crap would end by now, I thought "Technology is fast and doubles each year"

    This statement is obviously bullsh*t.

Anyone want to agree that ISPs and hosting partners, corporate websites, etc etc etc would have disconnections "a thing of the past" by now?

Sh*t people, it's almost 2004 already and little joey down the street who still has 56k, is online more than my broadband living a$$.
