Hey I downloaded the latest mod and patch last night (8-24-03) for Galatic Combat via FilePlanet, which planetbattlefield linked me to, and like.. it doesn't work!

I can activate the mod, Desert Combat .39 works fine, the original game works fine... but the second I go to actually play a mission, any mission, the stupid thing crashes to the desktop. No errors, nothing.. it just crashes.

I have a 2.4ghz CPU 512mb ram, ATI Radeon 9700 PRO 128mb video card, and Windows XP Home edition.

Has anyone gotten this mod to work? Have any ideas for me? =) It's shareware and they give you 40 days trial period, but like.. I'm not paying for something that I can't even get to work.. man I hate the concept of trouble shooting games..work on systems all day, setting up Outlook, figuring out why some Excel file doesnt behave correctly, or whatever else.. last thing I want to do is more trouble shooting.=(

Anyone have some ideas, cuz I tried installing it 3 times already... so..if someone doesn't have a good idea, then this mod is going in the garbage..hehe..
