hey there. I seem to be completely unable to get SB16 emulation to work properly in windows XP, as well as Windows 98/ME. I cannot get any DOS emulation at all. Well, when I try to configure the audio in the Command & Conquer Demo, I select Sound Blaster and it defaults the settings to: Port 220, IRQ 5, DMA 1. Though, when I test the audio, instead of hearing "Testing" I hear "T--t---g---"

When I tried to install windows 98, I was required to disable SB16 emulation all together to simply keep the OS from locking up at startup.

Does anybody out there know how to get SB16 emulation working?

I've tried the default winxp drivers as well as the most current drivers directly from Creative (Damn Corporate Bastards)'s website, neither worked.

Also, If I bought an Audigy 2 Platinum, would there be any DOS drivers for XP, or is playing older DOS based games with working audio on windows XP impossible?...

aye aye aye!

Thanks!
