To begin with, I have a roommate and he uses my computer. Because of that, I pretty much disabled all of my partitions from his viewing. All of my partitions only have two users for access, my account and his account. I have full control over everything and he has access to nothing.

Problem is that, because I set up my computer so that there's only two users that can access things, diskepeer can't display my partitions in the program (or MMC if you want to be technical).

My temporary solution is to allow access for "Everyone" on each of my drives and only allow read/write access. After I do that, diskeeper can display all of my drives and I can finally defrag.

Is there a more efficient way of approaching this problem? I want to take off access for "Everyone" and just leave it as my account and my roommate's account for all of the user groups on each partition. Is there a specific user that diskeeper uses in order to read the partitions or what? If so, what is it so I can allow only that user?
