Hello

I´m seriously considering to take a loan to buy a laptop for the future. The reason is that I study computer science and I´ve never owned a laptop before. It would be a nice advantage to have a nice notebook which can last for a good number of years. I´m quite a newbie with notebooks.

The main priority is that the notebook can be versatile, and handle a lot of programming. Also, it must have a good battery life-time. And it would be quite nice if I could game a little on this one as well

I´m a previous hardcore-gamer, but this is not the reason. I´ve been looking into the Asus notebooks - which looks quite appealing. Such as the:

Asus M6800Ne and the Asus V6V. The Asus M6800Ne packs quite a punch with 1 GB of RAM, 2 GHz Centrino CPU, a nice 15,4 TFT screen, Radeon 9700 gfx, 80 GB harddrive etc. - and a weight of 2,7 Kg.

The Asus V6V is quite similar, except for a few specs. It has a x600 Radeon, 60 GB harddrive, 512 MB of RAM, 15,1 TFT screen and a slimmer design and weight of 2,4 Kg.

What do you guys think? Is it stupid to invest in one of the two? Right now i´m leaning towards the M6800Ne.
