Actually, not to say you don't knwo what you are talking about but Linux has had kernel patches for USB for ages, ever since Intel first put it on there first motherboard.. this is probably because Intel tests everything they make in linux first since writting device drivers is so much easier.


As for the Mandrake issue, I know it prompts me for the type of install, I choose expert, it then said are you sure and tries to force custom again. I used a burned iso.

My box said "WindowsME/2000 or better" so I installed Linux.
