dual link DVI cards VS single link DVI cards question
ok, this is new to me. I still have a CRT tube for a monitor but am building a new pc.
Just noticed that there is a difference in cards with dual and single dvi outputs. it seems that if you use a dual dvi card, do you need 2 dvi connections on the LCD to get the maximum "The dual link DVI pins effectively double the power of transmission and provide an increase of speed and signal quality; i.e. a DVI single link 60-Hz LCD can display a resolution of 1920 x 1080, while a DVI dual link can display a resolution of 2048 x 1536."
this is new to me.
