I was stunned to read this article on Ars Technica that said Nvidia is ceasing further research/development on chipset production for the AMD/Intel motherboard market. Although I'm partial to AMD, having more than one manufacturer to chose from is vital to us as consumers. Now I don't think that AMD would raise their chipset prices once Nvidia abandons the market, for they would be hard pressed to get anyone to buy their processors if the cost became prohibitive. I'd still prefer that we had more choices. First ULI, then SiS and Via. Now Nvidia is about to bow out. Not good at all.
