So I had to extract them in my RC version of 7 which is 64bit. Then make the files into a bootable iso. Burn that and then do a complete install. Such a pain in the ***, I hope no one else is having this much trouble just installing windows...
I had the same problem. I d/l the 64bit home premium edition. and tried to run it from XP 32bit.

I have a RC 64bit system setup so can probably transfer the setup file to that system to extract the files.

Question.. how do I make it to a bootable ISO file? I mean I can make it to a ISO file but how do I do the bootable part?

btw: Can I do a clean/fresh install from that ISO and use my upgrade key? that's waht I really want to do.

seems like a PITA to have to install xp first then do the upgrade.
