Internet connection keeps timing out

Hi,

I have a problem with my internet connection as it seems to time out a couple of times every day. I reinstalled Windows XP but that did not help, I used a wifi connection, a wired one, reinstalled drivers but I don't know what's wrong. This happens while I'm browsing the internet or downloading. I connect through a Lynksys router to a cable modem and other persons on my network don't seem to have this issue. Usually I'll try repairing the connection and if that doesn't work I have to restart the system. I've disabled the LAN in the BIOS to be safe. I don't think it's the firewall either.
