If I were you, I'd drop the 5850 to a 5770 and use the difference for an SSD.

Anand has a good article on them - for most gaming they do an amazing job.

Nope, would advise against this, where gaming is a major concern, vid crad's where it's at. The 5850 is two notches above the 5770, and it should the OP thru at least a couple of years of excellent gaming (the 5770, while good, it may struggle with more and more complex games expected out with DX11...the 5850 has more staying power, or better 'legs' if you know what I mean).
