I've been running the Windows 7 ultimate release copy on my laptop for the past few months and now it is expiring and it's now time to spring for the latest version, but I'm trying to be sure that I understand this correctly. My laptop was running Vista Home Basic and I didn't get a copy of the OS with the computer. When I loaded the W7RC OS I didn't really think this through and I kinda assumed that I would just be able to buy an upgrade version of W7, but, from what I now understand, that is not the case and I may need to buy a full version in order to keep the computer from shutting down every 2 hours. Is this correct?
