Is the Intel QX 6850 still a good CPU when compairing to the I7's

With no OCing the stock cooler will be just fine. Remember to use SpeedStep and C1E and you'll probably never hear the fan.

with all of the fans in my tower, it wont really matter. I dont know much about this processer but it said 2.8 Mhz - 3.06. What does that mean? Does it clock higher on its own or something like that?
