I have released this last week, but perhaps some people who have not looked in last weeks listings missed this.
I currently own an EPOX 8kta3 Motherboard that was running a duron 800. I sold the 800 and ordered a new retail box xp processor. Epox's latest update allows the mb to see it as an xp, but apparently it will not operate at 10.5 X 133=1400MHZ with stability(ie. locking up and crashing), so I am restricted to running it at 100X10.5=1050MHZ. It works fine at this speed, but is a waste of potential speed(very annoying). Therefore, I am willing to either trade it for $200 Canadian ($126 US) (lowest price you can get this cpu retail in Canada is $239 plus tax), or I will trade it across for an athlon 1400( that is on the recommendation list to operate fine on my motherboard).
Do not get this confused with an OEM processors that are $40 cheaper, since they have a very short warranty, unlike the retail box that is covered for 3 full years of warranty.

IF there is a trade, you must send your processor first, for I have had enough problems with unprofessionals over the net. I have tonnes of references etc that can be contacted for verification of myself, for I am pain in the butt, and well known High School Teacher in this Northern Canadian town where I currently dwell!

P.S(1). this is a deal for me, for I will be able to run my board at its proper speed of 1400MHZ and a deal for you, for you get a better processor that kicks butt on the athlon 1400, with the added bonus of SSE compatiblity!

P.S(2) I am not happy with Epox, for this lack of proper compatibility and my next board will not be one of theirs. This board is less than a year old and is already outdated to run current processors that fit the same socket!

Anyways, Cheers and Merry Xmas

Joe
