Ever since Morpheus went down, I've had to resort to using WinMx to get everything. Granted it's not a terrible program and I can find most songs, but it's not as fast, reliable, or simple as Morpheus was. Half the time I have to attempt 5 or 6 downloads before I find one that works, and bandwith is limited since I can only download off of one user at a time.

So I saw that the new Preview Edition of Morpheus was out and I downloaded. Ugghhh, it was quite terrible. For one the interface was just...well weird. Like it looked like it was thrown together in mere hours (which it probably had to be). And it didn't work to well either, I thought that it was supposed to not only connect to the Gnutella networks, but also to the old MusicCity network. But all I got was Gnutella connections and half the time they weren't sharing anywhere near the files that MusicCity's network did. I was struggling to find files and when I did they were always limited to just one host who was usually full and unable to download from. It was terrible and I uninstalled it within minutes.

On another note, I downloaded Grokster because I didn't think it installed spyware as much as Kazaa does as long as you don't install Gator and Offer Companion. So I used that for a while and really didn't have problems with it, but I don't know what I'm going to do for a while. I'm hoping that Morpheus is going to come around to be better than it is now, otherwise I'm going to have to keep using WinMX for a while until something better comes along.

Just my 2 cents guys...
