Have no clue what else to try.. My first built computer ran pretty much good up until I tried XP.. I know some of you think XP is perfect and if there are any problems then its the users fault, but omg Microsoft made a product for high end tech guys only. Right now my big problem is getting video to work. Currently typing this in 640x480res with 4 colors. Have tried installing newest drivers I've had multiple times even in safe mode and this is how they turn out. With no drivers it appears in 1024x768. Thinking maybe the drivers are corrupt so downloading the 27.50 drivers right now off visiontek's site. My 3rd time attempting to download them though because I get the random blue screen with Driver_IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal with the 0x000000D1 which support database says might be a hardware conflict and you should unplug everything from your computer which havn't tried yet but guess it cant hurt. Also have gotten Bad_Pool_Caller which I didnt understand anything the database had to say about that. I like XP but about to say screw it there are to many problems and go back to 98 where my only problem is the occasional blue screens, explorer errors, and computer running 80mhz slower than its supposed to.
I've thought about RMAing my mobo, processor, and ram back to newegg for replacements (WOULD return the stuff and buy different mobo/proc but its been over 30 days) but I'm not exactly sure how that works. I know how to request the RMA but once I get the number where do I ship it? Can I just put the 3 things back in original packaging and put those in some package and put RMA number on outside? I'm sure I'll have to pay for shipping there but do they charge to ship the new stuff back? ANY help with anything would be greatly appretiated right now![]()
