need help with new ti4200
well i just got my ti4200. but for some reason its not all i thought it would be. first off i barely break 5000 with 3dmark2001. games arent running too well. medal of honor works pretty damn good but serious sam almost runs the same as it did on my gf2 mx400. kinda sad. i dont have aa on, vsync is off, i have it oced right now to 250/575, i have the refresh rate fix on and it seems to be working okay. one thing i noticed though in 3dmark2001, when i finish it and push show results it says that i have my refresh rate at 60hz and i dont, its at 75. and im not running 3dmark2001se because of some problems its giving me. any ideas?

29.20's. the wierd thing is, whenever im running 3dmark, the only 2 tests that do really bad are the nature test and the vetex one with all the little guys running around. they both go extremly slow. just those two tests. like i get 10 fps on the nature test no mater what. no matter what the speeds are on the card its always the same. i find that kinda odd. also something i found wierd, when i look at the display properties of my vid card, under bus type it says agp(pci mode). i find that kinda odd. is that not supposed to be like that?

I dont think you can expect more from the video card, than the CPU can deliver. The card is only idling on that rig.
I bet it'l make close to 5000 in 1600x1200-32
Then try it in 640x480-16 to see where your CPU hits the wall.

that score seems about right with that setup. youll need a new cpu that can take advantage of the card

It's probably the CPU, even though a Duron is a good chip it is not capable or handling what the card can. Also the refresh problem seems to be an XP/2000 issue (if that is what you are running). To fix this you need the program 'refresh lock' which works well.
