Dungeon Siege - solo?
I just tried the Dungeon Siege demo from PCGamer. I like the game but i find that micromanaging multiple characters in combat detracts from the gameplay for me. Has anyone beaten the game solo? Is it possible?

I would think it wouldn't be too hard to solo the game on easy difficulty.
I played it through on medium with a full party- I enjoyed all the different formations and attack styles available. On occasion I did go solo with my main character... you'll be fine if you don't get into any huge battles.

I've beaten it solo 2x. Takes about 20-24 hours to do.

It took me about 25 hours to beat it with 2 characters .

Hmm I did it with 3 and 5.
3: 20 hours
5: 25 hours but that time I really took the time to map everything out especially that god damn swamp.

Heh, I just burned right through that swamp till I found the way out (goblins). I did read that I missed the witch's hut and a possible addition to my party though.

I love having a full party, I have like 6 or 7 in my party right now. I find the funnest part of the game is having my party members progress through the various skills and equiping them with new and awesome armour and weapons...It is funny, but I feel more like a general in this game than a combatent, since you don't have to do much when a battle begins other than making sure everyone has enough healtha and possibly changing the weapons your members use depending on who they are fighting...

I just got Pc Gamer magazine today and played through the demo.I thought it was easier with just one person.I did go on to have 3 people in my party but they were more of a distraction then help.I didnt use any spells either.I hate magic.I just wanna hack everything to death.

I'm the same way, I love beating everything down with a huge club. I did try to sub-specialize in one magic type though, for the stat-boosting spells.

It helps to have an archer/ranger, healer/mage, if your going to specialize in melee. But solo isn't impossible, It may be a little frustrating and difficult at moments but a challenge it would be. ( if that last sentence sounds like yoda to you then you've watched too much Star Wars )
