    Favorite web programming language?

Like it says -- what is your favorite?

My vote goes to PHP, and it will be interesting to see if some of the other languages are being used by Sharky folks.

If I missed anything, sorry; I tried to pick the popular languages but there are quite a few

You don't have ASP.NET on there.

It's pretty nice although you have to adjust to it, but it's like 10x easier than classic ASP.

Thanks Galen. Well I didn't actually forget it, but I guess it probably does belong there. I guess technically it's a markup language and I was thinking server-side programming languages that generate HTML/XML/etc. I didn't want to get into HTML/XML/FP Extensions/SSI/etc. However, it is some people's language of choice!

Galen, come over here into my office....

[whisper] "You do know that HTML is for document formatting, and not a programming language, right?" [/whisper]

    That is all.

Oh yes, I voted PHP, and I cannot stand ASP -- it causes bad code and bad coders, in my humblest of opinions.

OUCH!!!! That one hurt. :: Pulls dagger out of chest:: What do you find so great about php dawg? Just curious. I could use any language, what would be your argument to persuade me to switch to php? Keep in mind I have never really sat down and tried to learn it or even use it for that matter.

Well, I wanted to vote for C++. But since it is not on the list I had to settle for the next best thing. Java. Although Java is a distant second to C++.

Galen: Is there anyway for you to switch my vote from ASP to ASP.NET? BTW nice new avatar.

krack: I'm doing a web project atm in ASP.NET. If you have any questions with it just ask me. I'm warning you though, they're gonna have to be easy questions though so I can answer them.
