Upgrade delema
Ok no flame wars just personal experance please.
I have 200 bucks to drop on a new vid card, im juggling between the gainward ti 4200 128ddr or the 8500 le 128ddr.
What do you guys think?

Get the Geforce4ti4200..its better than the ATI 8500 le
The Gf4 performs better.

The Gainward ti4200 128MB is faster but costs around $200. For $25 more you can have a ti4400.
With the jump to ti4400 you get a cleaner 8 layer PCB and BGA ram which both help to reach higher clockspeeds.
The Retail ATI 8500 128MB 275/275MHz w 3.6ns BGAram is going for $162 at Newegg.Thats not bad value.
As far as speed goes,its not far behind a 128Mb ti4200.

Thanks for the update on teh 4200 vs the 4400 ive decided to blow the extra 50 bucks and go for the 4400 gainward with the dual CRT display Finally someting usefull for my old 17 in to do
