4.1 system reccomendations please
I'm in the market for a new speaker system for my PC. I want a good 4.1 setup in the 100 dollar range. I also want the speaker wires to be long enough to place satellite speakers up to 12 feet away from the computer. Any reccomendations would be helpful.

in this price range you bets bet might be either the altec lansing 641's or logitech z560's... ppl have differing opinions on them though, so you really gotta listen to both of them together andwork out which you like better... just note that some z560's have some.. err build quality issues...

I was gonna start a thread but i figured i could just ask a couple questions here. In the future i would like to purchase a nice 4.1 system and im thinkin probly the 641s or 560s. First, will my sblive suffice or should i get a better card, like an audigy? Second, i will be using the speakers for gaming and quiet music mostly. Once in a while tho ill be crankin these babies up LOUD for my music.
Which set will deliver more bass? By more i mean deeper and cleaner. The 560s say 400 watts rms, doesnt this seem a little high? The one sub in it has a 188 w rms rating according to the site. Any suggestions on the two?
I know i should buy a new card to get the most out of as nice speakers as these but i would like to wait for the new soundblasters to come out (whenever they do). Until then will my sb live do? Will there be a noticeable difference?
