    Software as a Profession

Hi, could you please tell me what Software developers and Software Engineers do? I know its something like they make software (which is obvious) but what is the job made up of? How much do they make yearly? Please reply. Thanks a lot

If you have no clue what computer professionals do and haven't the ambition to do a web search to find out, you are not the type of person that should be working in the programming field. Even IT grunt work is likely beyond you.

If all you are interested in is money, become a lawyer.

Well, prior to considering learning to be a programmer, you need to learn spelling, grammar, and how to form complete sentences! All of which are usually basic requirements for holding even the lowliest of manual labour jobs, let alone a highly technical job.

kw3 - I can tell that you're new to our forums, so I thought I'd offer a friendly word of warning here. Please refrain from making any direct personal attacks or insults to other SharkyForums members. Doing so is a direct voilation of our Acceptable Use Policy.

We'll let this one slide because like I said, you're new and still learning the ropes here, and I'm a fairly reasonable person in most cases. But future offenses will have to be handled more strictly. So please, keep it clean (That goes goes for everyone!)

    Thanks kw3.
