What's up with my Gainward card???

I bought a Gainward gf2 TI500/XP golden sample from Newegg back in January. It was working like a champ up until mid-May, and then out of nowhere, it crapped out on me. I couldn't figure out why, but I wasn't getting any kind of display. A borrowed 8MB card worked just fine in the mean time. Fortunately, Gainward sent me a new card within a couple of weeks. So, now I've had this new card only a week, and it crapped out on me tonight!!!! This time, I could tell that the fan wasn't spinning, and I still wasn't getting any kind of display.

I would like to know...has anyone else had these kinds of problems??? I'm going through video cards every other week and it's pissing me off. Could there be something wrong somewhere else (i.e. mobo, etc.)??? Please help!! Thanks in advance.

when you run into these problems have you tried to reseat you video card? It might be your case, some cases aren't very strong where the mobo connects and the back end of your video card might be sliding out of the slot. That is the only explanation i can think of at this time.

Yes, I've tried that. I've even tried removing all other peripherals and the darn thing still didn't work (both times). I've heard so many good things about this card (for the price) on this forum, but should start to reconsider and pursue a refund for a different card (if I can)?

I have all kinds of trouble with my Gainward GF3Ti200. First it would not even post when I installed it on my main machine. It has an ASUS P3V4X mainboard. Then I got feed up and installed it in my backup machine. It seemed to work okay when installed on the ASUS P2B. But over the last couple of weeks it has been giving me more and more trouble. First when I power up the machine I get a blinking screen with a colored strip pattern. It takes sometimes 10 boots to get it to post to a normal start up screen. Then today after it did its usual crap it would boot into a windows screen with some of the icons corrupted. When I tried to run anything including shutting down, it would just give a partical window and lock. I finally got it to boot into windows. But I am really pissed off. I am sure it is the video card. The install of windows is only a few weeks old.
So I am concluding that Gainward sucks. I am thinking of changing to my trusty KYROII since the backup machine will not be used for any 3D chores. DO I just pack this thng to Gainward for replacement? Any ideas about the problem would be appreciated.

I've had the same prob with my brand new Gainward Ti 200. I'm convinced it's a faulty card... I'm changing it over today.
