InCD is a control freak!
I am running Windows XP on the computer in my signature. I use InCD to format etc. my CDRWs. However, it seems that unless I eject my CDRWs by right-clicking the InCD system tray icon, when I put in another (or the same) CDRW it appears blank to Windows XP.
I can tell when InCD has freed the drive, as the little green arrow turns to red on the icon. It only frees the drive if I use the right-click method of ejecting. I understand this is a 'feature' of the software and not a glaring bug.
But what is the point of this? I want to eject all my CDs by pressing the button on the drive! It's so much easier and quicker to reach (especially as I am going to have to compute one handed for a month due to a broken arm ). My previous 5 year old CDRW and DirectCD 2.5 let me eject as I pleased.
Why is InCD such a control freak?!

It's not just InCD, it almost all packet writing programs. Prassi, DirectCD, all except for Write CD-RW. It still leaves the eject button on the drive functional. Locking the tray prevents you from ejecting the CD during the formatting and writing process as this can damage the disc and the burner. But I'm through with packet writing. I'll write CD-RWs the same way I write CDRs and erase them when I'm through. I'll use multi-session to add info.

Unfortunately, I'm not stupid enough to eject disks while writing to them so this 'feature' is useless to me.
However, I stopped InCD from loading at startup, and everything works fine still. I can still write and erase CDs and can eject them from my CDRW shortcut without problems anymore.
In future I will leave InCD disabled and only use it for formatting the disks.
I am moderately happy.
