Table/cell properties

This may be a bit too newbie for you but I want to find table/cell properties OR rather to insert a background image in 2 out of 3 cells of the table (in Dreamweaver 4 or MX). I`m reading a tutorial and it says:
select cell - properties - BG
The only properties I can get to are page properties but no sign of any table properties.
A code to do this will also be sufficient (just tell me where exactly to put it)
