Question to Sharky team?
I want to pose a question based on the new rules and regulations
Why aren't we(the members) allowed to make celebration posts anymore.Is it so annoying?I'll get to a 1000 posts soon and i want to celebrate it.

It never really was acceptible, just tolerated. It isn't about computing so it's too OT, plus many members would use it to boost post counts.
An alternative system which I think would work is this...
When you hit your mark add the line "I finally made it to "phat-shark", PM congrats" to your sig. After a week or so you remove the line and go back to living a normal life.
This way you don't encourage spam posts and still get the glory Plus this way everyone who reads one of your posts will know you did it and PM you.
I just might do this to celebrate breaking the 92% mark on Seti@home.

Just make a post in General Hardware that says. What is the best CD-RW drive, and then in the body say: Guys I want to buy a CD-RW drive, which is the best value... Oh by the way i'm now a GWS.
You'll get quite a few congrats in before it gets closed
