    building new comp

    well right now i got a 1.3 gighz p4
    256 ram
    win xp pro ( iso lol)
    geforce 2 gts ( 70 fps in cs)


    I am either wanting to upgrade that really good but im thinking of buying a new one only though im 15...
    i got about 100$ and gonna sell my pb stuff cuz nobody in alaska plays anymore for about 200-300. so i will have a solid 400$.

    but i will need more money if i want a pimped computer :rolleyes:

    can somebody goto a site such as newegg and find a decent comp no higher then 1100$?
    i want this itleast
    1.8 ghz amd
    512 dddr
    geforce 4
    decent burner
    decent flat monitor.


    i might just get this around xmas time UnleSS ANYBODIES KNOW WHAT I CAN DO TO MAKE SOME CASH...


    well plz help me build a comp or i might have enuf around xmas.

    what should i do

    WELL I DECIDED I AM GONNA upgrade what can i get for 300-400
    a sure thing is
    geforce 4 ti-4200 166$ from newegg

    now i wanna try to get new mobo and some ddr ram
    possibly faster sppedd

    that vidcard is a good choise, what is your mobo now, maybe you can oc that puppy

    Ok, this is what I can see happening. That RAM is probably RDRAM I presume? Let's see what I can scratch up:

    P4 1.8A Retail $167
    ABIT TH7II INTEL 850 Motherboard $116
    GF4 Ti4200 $166

    $450USD. You could reuse the other 256MB of RDRAM and voila you practically have a new system.

    how much is 512 ddr?
    can u give me the direct links from newegg also plz?

    also if i ge trh new processor mobo and vid car later like in 2 months will i be able to buy ddr?

    hell why not just go amd mobo amd proccesor?

    sinc eim getting new mobo?

    amd is cheaper plus the 1.6 is better then all p4s except the 2.2 ghz

    first...intel stopped making the 1.6...so it would be hard to find one..although if u can get one...that would be best..

    and if u get amd...you won't be able to o/c far unless u get a very good (and loud) hsf and u unlock.
