Personaly, I've always been very happy with ATI drivers, having gotten my Radeon 64 VIVO just over a year ago now. However, I'm very exited about the driver situation for the 9700. It's not even shipping for close to a month and the reviewers are already saying that they have had very few, if any, driver problems. They've pointed out that the immage is as close to flawless as any card tends to get and the speed is already incredible. With such a strong start there will be no grounds for abuse this time around... even ungrounded grounds.
    I wish I had a spaceship.

I have used NVIDIA, ATI, and 3dfx video cards. I have never had a "DRIVER"/"VIDEO CARD" issue. Ive had OS issues when XP first came out..... I have owned 3dfx Voodoo 1,2,3 cards, NVIDIA GF2 gts 64, and ATI RADEON, RADEON 8500le. Personally I perfer/recommend ATIs cards over all others. Reason being, ATI offers the best immage quality with good speed and the offer cool new Tech. like "TRUEFORM". When some games started using TRUEFORM the immage quality was un-believable! I look for playable frame rate (40+) and high quality immage! I have yet to find a game I cant run at 16x filtering, 2x FSAA QUALITY, TRUEFORM enabled at 1024x768x32 w/ highest quality detail on my RADEON 8500le! Runs like a DREAM and looks damn near flawless! The GF4s can do it faster, but I dont think they look as good......

What a polite way of saying, either ur drivers are fecked, your stupid and installed teh drivers wrong, and to install the drivers again, and that ur drivers might be corrupt. How polite
