Sent my first file at 1 Mbps

So we got a new hub today because our old NetGear 10/100Mbps Ds104 kealed over and died. This is a 4 port 10Mbps hub. I decided to hook em just into the hub without the cable modem plugged in so I could share files just to mess around. So I sent a file from the back room of our house to the front room at 1Mbps, it was kinda sweet. I was watching it go with DUMeter. It was just under 200 megs (Divx Movie, Part 2 of Halloween resurrection) I sent it from my room to my parents computer it took just over 3 mins at 1 Mbps, Thats kinda cool to send files that fast.

MB perhaps? Mb is megabit and if you were only getting 1 Mb on a 10 Mb hub then there is a problem. 1MB would be outstanding as the theoretical limit is 1.25 MB. Anything around 8.5 to 9 Mb is excellent. Now start adding nodes to the chatty hub and see what you get. Shoulda got a switch.
