22.80 & 23.12's are good. 29.42's don't perform bad either. I did some tests and 29.42's were right up there with 22.80 and 23.12's in terms of performance.

What about the ti4600. I'm kinda getting inconsistent results with 3030s 3082s and 2942s. It's like not consistent enough for my tastes to say my scores are consistent. If that makes any sense. I'm wondering how alienware does their video cooling, is it just an 80mm fan blowing on the card or is it ducted or what?

    I don't own a GeForce4 but from some people's opinion the 29.40's perform better than the 29.42's.

I reverted back to the 23.11's that I loved so much. Didnt much care for the 29.42's.

The 29.42's really improved my performance in Directx8 and above games. I was nicely surprised.

I'm with you, my system consistently froze when i updated my drivers. I believe the new drivers are really designed for XP and not for Windows 2000. 23.11's have always worked fine with my GeForce 2 Ti.

There were some VIA motherboard problems with 23.11's I think. 23.12 solved them.

Yeah when I had my kt133a/1.33 tbird system I had to stay away from the 23.11's because they gave me the infamous "infinite loop error." I'm not sure if it was nvidia's or via's fault since it happened on some non-via boards.

I use the 29.42's, but that is because I have a GF4. It would seem that you get mixed results with them if you have a GF3 or earlier card. However, this has been going on since the TNT2 days. Eventually the updated drivers for newer class cards seem to hurt the performance of the previous gen.
