    Nolf

Does anybody recommend playing the first No One Lives Forever or should I just wait for the next one? I can get the first NOLF new for about $20. People seem to like it and I'm a FPS freak myself. Also, will it run on Windows XP?

    Thanks

NOLF is great, very fun, good multiplayer, and yes, it runs on XP. Only problem i have with it is that the text is a little "funky", its a problem with my GeForce 3 tho, not with XP.

Personally, I could never get into it, reminded me to much of Austin Powers
Maybe I’m just boring, but I just can’t seem to get into non-serious games

A lot of ppl highly recommend it mind you, so take what I say with a grain of salt

'Twas a fun game when I played it. The only problem is that the fun kind of stopped at that German base. I don't know why exactly, but even after playing Thief 1 and 2, I still could get detected pretty easily. The weapons aren't like UT, but they're pretty... "smart" in a word. Fox learned a thing or two from System Shock, and almost all of the guns have two different kinds of ammo. Of course, the bullets you need are never in stock

I recommend it - it's very quirky though, not for everyone. I was almost done when I rebuilt my machine and got some more games but plan to finish it this fall. You'll know soon if you like it - but NOLF2 looks great and you'll kick yourself that you didn't play #1 first.

German base was fun as hell.
You gotta realize that not all games have the same kind of AI.You gotta like get the feel of how the enemys think.Like thier line of sight thier reaction time,etc...
I made it through the german base undetected untill the parts where its imposible to be undetected like the scripted sequences.
I dunno just get your silenced pistol is shoot em when no ones around then use the body remover powder so they wont find a body.

Has been the best single player game Ive ever played. Played it twice, would definately recommend it. Hoping for better graphics with the 2nd one, from looking at the screenshots, it looks like it wont dissapoint.
