Who Sees?

who sees all these works of art in your case? do you go to shows and show it off, i know you can now show us but other than us who else sees it. im not sure if i should do it to mine because of who will see it?

I see my case, and that’s enough reason for me to mod it. I don’t do it for show; I do it because I like to look at it. It’s just an added bonus when someone comes over and takes a look at it, but none the less that’s not my reason to do so. Good Luck

Mystif put it will, but I really think Ashpool put it VERY well.

I mean, if you think about it.. Who will need 10 fans in their case? No one. Why do it? It's fun.

Same with OCing. I mainly play CS, which maxes out at 100fps, so I'm not going to get any better of a picture from having my rig at default than OC'd, it's just the fun in things.

Who sees? Anyone that walks into my living room. It's kinda like asking why buy nice furniture instead of using cardbord boxes and beanbags.

That doesn't explain why I painted and modded the regular steel case on the game system though. LOL. No one really sees that one. Most of it's mods are pseudo-functional (extra fans, split loom on the cables etc...) for peace of mind rather than decorative. But no windows lights, or lasercut fanguards. Only LAN goers and folk that do this sort of thing would care anyways. So I guess I did it cause I liked it.

Well, I see it. And brag about it. And talk about it to anyone who will listen.

To me, it just makes me happy. Its like a painting hanging in your bedroom. I mean, really, who (beside yourself and your significant other) sees bedroom art?

But, also, random friends who drop by my place see it and gawk. Its getting to be a good "wow" factor.

i like moddin my case cuz i find it arousing

hahahah kinda. it's just the feeling of satisfaction that made me get a window and lights in my case. will it enhance performance? of course not, but will it make you feel better when you're feeling down? definately

Who sees it? all of my friends/ co workers

I take pictures of my case, show it to them, and just love bragging about it. Its being both creative and thoughtfull (ways to reduce noise, ways to improve airflow, while at the same time using round color ide cables, etc)

Most people don't see my case in person, they see it online. I mod it (1) because it is fun (2) when I'm not out fixing cars or computers, I don't have a lot to do (3) because I can.

It is really cool to have the guys at the IT company I intern at stare at in awe too!

1. Its a hobby like everyone else has said so if you're into it, go for it.

2. A short little anecdote. I have a couple of tattoos that are hidden enough that pretty much I'm the only one who sees 'em, some people think thats dumb to hide 'em because you spent money on them why not show it off. I like my tattoos, and I got them for myself, not for anyone else.
