I don't know what all you guys are talking about AMD T-bird needing amazing quality ram and amazing HSF. Cuz I have 3 AMD in my house. duron700 (A7V), athlon500 (MSI6167), T-Bird950 (KT7) and all work fine with Hyundai CAS3 PC133, PC100, PC133 (respectively) ram. all work great, plus the duron is running at 808mhz unlocked using pencil method. all else is running a default speeds. never had a problem with anything. another thing. the Duron700 is even using a crappy powersupply from 2 years ago (250watts), no problems at all.

I have no idea why you'd think AMD needs specific brand name ram and high end heatsinks for it to be stable. I've built many systems for customers and they don't have problems with stability either. (well, except for that guy who bought a T-bird 1ghz to run on a 235watt powersupply. but that was just stupid). But if you exclude that t-bird 1ghz, all 14 of 14 systems work like a charm.

anyway, as for your instability problem. please specify on how it becomes unstable? is it blue screen? or just plain frozen screen? or what? did you install the via 4in1 driver update?
