My CPU temp is going crazy...help please!
Ok I have a Soyo Dragon+ w/ an XP 1500+ w/ stock HSF and nothing is overclocked (yet). All of these temps are with prime95 running.
There are 3 sensors reporting temperatures to MBM5. Sensor 2 is constantly around 32C so I am pretty sure that is the case temperature. Then there is Sensor 1 which is always from 44C-48C. Finally there is sensor 3 that jumps from 20C to 58C back to 22C and then like 60C. It never stays at at one temperature. I just assumed the highest temperature would be my processor. Anyone know why sensor 3 is so sporadic? And anyone with a Dragon+ know which sensor is the cpu sensor?

Go here and take the link on the left frame under board info for the Soyo boards. It'll show you how to setup your sensors for your mobo, so you'll know which is which

Whoa simplest solution ever! Thanks Kev. Thank god my CPU isn't the one getting up into the 60s. Maybe next time I should do a little more research before asking...but then again I wasn't all that concerned because I am getting better cooling hopefully soon.

Right now it is at 41C with a semi-heavy load. It gets up to 46 or so at full load.

Not too bad...good thing it's a far cry from 60C!
