Grado SR60's
Damn right I know the SR60's,I have these and use them on my main PC mostly to listen to MP3's and when gaming at night.
For the small price asked you get a hole lot o quality with the SR60,and they sound great with any music!Games, you are in the game with the Grado's.DVD,all is well here too.
The SR60 are the least expensive true Grado in my view.Get them and dont even look back.
The only other option would be the Sennheiser HD495,the 495 will not sound as good as the SR60 because it need a lot more power to reach the same levels. This said SR60 is the clear PC/portable headpone champ.
Koss PortaPro being eliminated because of the too fragile and short cable.

The Senn 497's are also fairly easily driven from what I gather, so if you're looking for alternatives to audition, add them to your list.
Athlon XP 1700+ @ 1.8 GHz (9 x 200)
Epox 8RDA+
1GB (2 x 512MB) Kingston HyperX PC3000 DDR SDRAM
ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 9700 Pro

I think im definatly going for the grado's. I dont really like the styling (actually i find them quite ugly) but as long as the sound quality is great nothing else matters. If i can find the senhiser hd 497's i might get them.
Thanks for the help

The SR60 is the quality budget phone. Headroom has them.
Knowledge is useless, it’s what you do with it that counts.
