    Neverwinter Nights problems

I just bought and installed the game, but when it attempts the automatic configuration a nonspecific abort message comes up and aborts. When I bypass the autoconfig and actually get into the game (sometimes the game refuses to start) it runs extremely slowly even though all graphics setting are at the absolute lowest setting. I tried installing the latest drivers for my vid card, but it didn't do anythying to help.

    My specs are:
    GF2MX400
    Athlon XP 1700+
    8K3A+
    512MB PC2700
    48x TDK cd-rom
    80gb 7200rpm HDD

I checked out the task manager with the game running and found nothing abnormal except the game pegging my CPU at 97-100%.

I got it working okay after reinstalling new vid drivers a few times, and putting the CD in a different drive. After all that I just went out and bought a new ti4200.

    I see you fixed it

I had the same problem yesterday at my friends, he bought the game and couldn't get it to work with his G400 dualhead ( I wonder why  ) So I came over with my old GF2 Prophet II Pro 64DDR and installed it in his system... voila the game stopped crashing and he could play sorta... Even though the graphic card isn't the problem anymore... Its the slot A Athlon 600 and the 128 mb PC 100 thats causing the game to stutter. I told him to get some more ram at the least...
