    Where should I post this?

If I have a question about the POV-Ray Raytracing Language, a "programming language" used for 3D rendering, should I post in the programming forum or the general applications forum? It's a language in that the user has to write code for every specific object in a scene and their properties and what not.
I should write an ethnography about internet discussion boards.

You could try General Software or Technical Support. That is sort of related to gaming, since many games are 3d. Try one forum and if you don't get many answers try another.

The programming coding and scripting forum IMHO would be the best bet. I don't think those of us in any other forum would understand what the hell you were talking about

Highly techical would be the only other place that has people that might understand that stuff

HT is no place for support questions.
