I share your sentiment...Nobody CAN'T want an FS3 after FS2. But I thought the main reason preventing FS3 stems from when Volition was sold to THQ - they had to leave their FS rights with Interplay. Correct me if I'm wrong.

At least the source code was released, so hopefully some form of user-created redemption will come of that.

I personally was also looking forward to Star Control 4. I was really looking forward to that. I STILL play SC2 now and then when I'm on one of my ancient computers at my parent's house. But happy news on that front; they're re-releasing SC2 in a version that will run on modern computers!

Still, SC with 3D combat would have been sweet.

No, I dont mean the Preditor/alien games that have came out.

It wasnt Preditor.. the games name was Prey... I really was looking forward to that one.

Me too.. I was bummed when it was canned.. looked like a beautiful engine..

TFC 1.5 will just keep getting upgraded until they hit 2.0 and they lose the 'C' at the end.. Bingo! TF2.0!

Actually I heard something about it while ago, the reason there haven't been any news about it in a long time, is that they gave up on HL engine, and started to build new engine for it.

Novalogic was working on a game called "Necrocide (The Dead Must Die)" it was supposed to be an undead first-person shooter. Like Resident Evil I suppose. Got canceled though and they started to work on "Black Hawk Down."

About DN:F, on DN Manhatten Project they had a promo video for Forever and it looked awsome, the graphics were very dated though.

And on TF2 rumor has it that Valve/Sierra is realeasing new information about the games future in September.

It looks like there may be hope for these games after all, but only time will tell.

I too am pretty unhappy about this lack of a FreeSpace 3. (The other thing that bums me out is that my FS2 CD3 was dammaged when i got it, so i've never seen the end movie..) Anyway.. there are some things I'd like to see and I don't have any idea if they are in the making or not.. If Activision would make a Heavy Gear III that was to HG2 as HG2 was to HG1, than i'd be a happy DarkWolf. (I'd also be a DarkWolf looking for money for a Radeon 9700) I already wonder if M$ is making a Mechwarrior 5. (I think it's high time the Kodiak came back. So far I think it's only been in Mercenaries.)Another thing I'd probably run out and buy would be Rune 2, I don't know if they are making that or not. Gothic 2 had better be good becuase the ending of Gothic 1 sucked.. they might as well just have come out and said, "You win, find something better to do for a while and then get Gothic 2." The rest of Gothic was great though. If it had multi player (co-op) it would be over. We might still be playing it. There a few LAN parties there where everyone was just playing single player Gothic, it was really sick.

Hmmm, well, I was about to say that there should be a quake 3, after thinking about quake 2 and how good that was, but then i remebered that they have one and i don't like it.
Tribes 2! Good stuff! I wish they'd put some sort of assalt rifle into the standard weapon set, it seems like there isn't much in between the slow fire splash damage weapons and the chain gun (which IMO should be a bit stronger.)Well that's my rant.
