Ack my only gripe against newegg so far...
Ordering process was easy but omg don't order from them if your shipping and billing address are different! Was a pretty big hassle seeing since my dad lives overseas and was buying this stuff for me and they wouldnt accept the "AE" code for state for him wouldn't let him get verified the easy way so now gotta wait an extra day for them to verify :/ Other than that good prices and loved the selection...
Ended up getting an Athlon XP 1600+ , an Asus motherboard (A7M266... $20 off when bought with amd proc), some arctic silver ii paste, the alienware looking case (330w, 3 fans built in), blue orb heatsink + fan for my geforce3, and 256mb ddr from crucial All for the nice price of $463.42 shipped!

Man, you better erase that post. When these people see you downing newegg they will hang you. 3 rules of the forum I think are :
1.Don't down AMD
2.Don't like Microsoft.
3.Don't down newegg.
Hope I have helped.

Well, I had a small prob with newegg too. When I ordered they needed to have my dad fax his drivers license, his signature and a few other things (dont remember...) to them because the shipping address was different from the billing address. (Oh, like I'm going to have $1000 of stuff sitting on my porch all day.) The thing was, they did not give me any kind of acknowledgement or anything after we faxed it. And then, on the page where it tracks shipping and order info, I got 3 "messages" from what appeared to be a newegg employee named "Chester". They were trying to say the same thing as the first one I had gotten, that I needed to fax in the stuff, but they were half in CAPS and spelt badly. Very odd.

I dont think he is downing them, just sharing his experience with them and saying if you order with a different billing and shipping adress its a bit of a hassle. Just next time have your dad send you a check and you order it.

I never had problems ordering with my billing address different from my shipping. It's best to call your CC company and have the shipping address on file. I have it shipped to my work (cause um gee, that's where I am all day) and it works fine for me. I've ordered from Outpost.com, Mushkin, PCNut, 3DFXCool, BuyComp, and others without fail, all to either my work or home (I have a P.O. Box.) Haven't ordered from Newegg yet but hopefully they won't give me any issues when I do.
Well this only applies to people with their own CC. Have your dad authorize the shipping address and hey, it'll be a lot less troublesome come time for an upgrade

How come when I share my experience with AMD everyone accuses me of downing them?

Could it be that people here love newegg.com so much that when they see the first bit of negativity they have to jump all over the person.

bldegle2, I don't think DAoC was making the order, I think his dad was trying to make the order and have them ship the products to DAoC. Is that right?

Unfortunately my Chase Mastercard doesn't know how to list an alternate shipping address
They always have no idea *** I'm talking about... I hate them BTW..

Yea, mine is the same way. Having an alternate shipping address just opens up too many doors for most CC companies to handle.
