    Smile My 4600

I finally put the finishing touch on my MSI Ti4600 (only took a few months).

I bought the ramsinks before the BGA tweakmonsters came out (I might grab some of those), and the cooler is the CoolJag 1U. I will see how high I can overclock tomorrow. Enjoy

I rigged a better fan on my 4600 also, even so I still could not go over 325mhz for the gpu....hope thats not the case with you.

I have been using it for a few months, just with the ramsinks and stock cooler. I am able to pull off 336/776 with just the stock cooler and the ramsinks. I am hoping for a higher core overclock now

You do know to exercise caution with those BGA chips, right? Those things can get pulled off pretty easy from what I've seen.

Very nice, mystif. That's exactly what my ti4600 is going to look like. I didn't know you were thinking of the jag1u.

    How does it work?
I'm probably going to get it and replace the fan (since it uses a 60mm) with something that's at least 30CFM.

With the stock cooler I could not hold my finger on the back of the GPU under load for more than 10 seconds. So far my record is an entire 3D mark run without getting very warm at all; I am very impressed with this cooler.

    Newegg doesn't have the one I bought anymore (they took it off after I bought mine), the have this one now;

    http://65.119.30.151/productimage/35-114-101-03.JPG

    It's basically the same thing.

I would put a larger fan on it, but frankly the stock one does a darn good job as is, plus I need one of the two PCI slots it would block. Good Luck

Edit: Side note; The fan on mine and the new one are 19Cfm fans.

I don't intend on anything huge, even a Vantec Stealth 60mm would be a step up from that, I believe.

    Something relatively small but efficient.

I'm glad it works well for you, I'll definitely get one then.

Plus, I'm not concerned with newegg. I didn't even know they had them there. I had planned on going to www.1coolpc.com

By the way, mystif, how much more of an OC did you get out of it?

Old overclock was 336/776 at 166Mhz FSB and 326/746 at 195Mhz FSB (due to lack of AGP voltage adjust). I have not overclocked it yet since I have installed the CoolJag; I will probably get a chance tonight when I go for 2Ghz

Man, am I jealous! I can only get 310/730 out of my gainward! These things were supposed to be killer o/cers but as it turns out, they aren't or I got a bunk one. Don't get me wrong, its still faster than crap, but it sure would be nice to see some of the speeds you guys are getting out of yours. I don't think I'm willing to swap out the hsf/ramsinks either. I've noticed that you don't get a whole lot of gains in 3dmark from o/cing them either, maybe a few hundred points, and I'd bet you wouldn't see a ton of framerate jumps either.

Mystif's only at 1.7GHz and nearing 13k. Granted, it's an AXP, but even the 1.9GHz one's have trouble reaching 15k or so, so I'd consider his v/c OC very good and showing 3dmark point increases.
