Please help me with my keyboard shortcuts enigma!

Is it possible to create keyboard shortcut on the desktop?

For example, could I create a standard Windows shortcut that activates a certain key combination (such as ALT+F4)?

Would it be possible to assign the Windows key to a shortcut aswell?

Could I do this with a .bat file?

Yes it is possible to do this. Try looking at the script examples that come with windows...I believe that they have a .scr extension. IIRC, Win98 was the first Windows to have scripting.

There are also 3rd party programs that can do this as well. I have one with the source code that someone released a long time ago; but the windows scripting methods are alot cleaner.
