    Madden 2003 demo!

    Check it out: http://www.gamesdomain.co.uk/demos/demo/1698.html

I downloaded it earlier this afternoon and I wasn't impressed at all by it. For some odd reason, the demo wouldn't even run in full screen.

Well, I am a big fan of Madden Football. Unfortunately I don't have a PS2. I read some good reviews on the PC version of Madden 2003 (and I've played it on a PS2 at a freinds house) so I went and bought it today.

I'm going to return it tomorrow. The game seemed to play fine, and the graphics are OK. My problem is that my game-pad won't let me throw to my #3 receiver. The game has a function that is supposed to allow you to remap the buttons on your controller...but either it doesn't work or it is obtuse enough that I'm not going to spend any more time trying to figure it out.

    Oh well.

P.S. The Madden documentation all refers to using a Gravis game-pad. I am quite certain that if I bought that particular game-pad, the game would work fine. Too bad it is no longer in production.
What is truth? I don't know and I'm sorry I brought it up.

Well, it's immaterial now. I bought a new game-pad (should arrive early next week). If this game-pad doesn't work though, I'm going to be ticked off.

I bought Madden 2003 and quite like it ... I have one problem with it though, the replay option. During gameplay you can choose to replay parts (as always) but for some reason sometimes I go to replay and can't get out of it no matter what I do. The documentation doesn't say anything about it so I have to screw around so I can shut the game down through the task manager!
