    Talking How to guides

ok guys, bottom line, i sold my car and after paying off the bank i still got 4k left to play with. i want to spend about $1200-$1500 on the computer itself but im doing all of it myself. Basically i wanna put a LOTTA mods in it so if anyone has any ideas or have seen links to any cool mods (im really looking for "How-to guides") can you please post em so i got more to work with also looking to learn about water cooling , why not lol??

so far i have links to:
    a cool cd-rom mod,
    window making 101
    stealth CD drives
    replacing LEDs
    Painting

looking for more ideas though (heck if you have links to these post em anyways, the site you have in mind may be better tahn the ones i have)

Damn my the guy bid on my car on e-bay then offered me 1/2 of what he bid without even seeing the car... } so although it has not been sold it gives me time to plan out my computer better. My project has been delayed but believe me, i think im better off with more time to plan so keep the ideas coming

i will tell you this...you'll save a lot of money on modding if you make stuff yourself. such as control panels with switches...you could prolly make one for half of the price as they sell it to you on these modding sites. I think they just charge more because there is a high demand for the stuff and little places to find it. Also, be sure to check around for lighting effects and cold cathodes, they vary in quality and price a lot on the internet
