Sharing CD-RW possible?
I just wondered if I could burn a CD on a computer on my network. I can access the CD-RW from the other computers, would I just have to install burning software on the other computers in order to burn using the PC with the CD-RW?
The files being burned would be either on the computer with the CD-RW or on one of the other network computers.
On a side note, can you send messages over the network using Windows? The computers on the network are using Windows 98/ME/XP.
Thanks for your help.

No, the burner software won't recognize a network drive (as far as I know).
And yes, on a network, if the computers are on the internet, use any messaging software.

Thanks guys. I'll use MSN IM to do the messaging then. Pity about the burning issue, I guess I'll have to directly burn CDs then.
