    Right speaker isn't working right

On my Klipsch 2.1 speakers, the right speaker sporadically goes out and all I hear is sound coming from the left speaker. This happens in games, windows, playing mp3's,--EVERYTHING. What happens is the speaker will start to give a static sound and then just completely quit playing sound for a few seconds, then it will work again, and then repeat. Most of the time both speakers work fine, but this problem happens quite a bit. I don't think I blew the speaker out because I haven't taken them up to even close to their maximum volume, and if I blew it out, wouldn't they just not work at all?
If anyone's familiar with the Klipsch 2.1 speakers or knows how to fix this kind of problem, then please help me.
By the way, I'm on a SoundBlaster Live! 5.1.
    thanks

You'll do better if you ask for help on the forums at the Klipsch site.

you are actually more likely to blow a woofer or tweeter by underpowering them.. i.e. by using an amplifier rated less than the maximum of the speaker. It is better to have an over-powered amp.. failing that, it is better to get as close to the speaker maximum as possible..

It's the voice coils that normally go in a speaker - from amplifier clipping i.e. underpowering). However, blown voice coils still allow the speaker to work.. just badly.. I recently had a pair of speakers rattle and buzz.. turned out to be the magnet. The magnet had come loose from it's cage.. it is a glue press-fit even in expensive speakers. I squeezed in some super glue (between magnet and frame) - and they are now good as new.

    I digress..

Your problem is intermittant. Therefore, you likely have a loose connection. Make sure your 3.5mm jack connection on the rear of your soundblaster is secure.. they are notoriusly weak.. wiggle it gently whilst the speakers are playing.. does it repeat your problem?

Check the connection to your speakers..

Try the soundblaster with a diff set of speakers..

Those speakers have built in amps don't they? If the problem is in the internal amp - you need to send them back to the shop...
