    Case Paint help!!!

Ok, I need to find some GOOD case paint

problem: The spray paint I used (Krylon) hardly procects andthing on my case, I could take the paint off with my fingernail if I wanted.

I sanded down all the little bumps on my case before I painted, cleaned it, then put on spray paint primer that is made for aluminum. Let that coat dry, sanded it, did the same thing, sanded it. Then put on 3 light coats of the krylon, and that's where I am at. The krylon paint hardly sticks to the primer. So what kind of paint should I use this time?

Also, any recommendations of a good clear coat?

the Ace Hardware spray lacquer i'm using seems to stick pretty well to plain ol grey primer. maybe the color spray you're using isn't compatible with the primer you used?

(i don't know if that kind of thing happens a lot, but it's a thought)

I used Dupli-Color Automotive paint. Check out this Site for more info on how to paint your case.
Keep us posted on how it works out.

My friend simply spray painted his case with a metallic blue. I need a good silver metalic.

I was wondering if I'm just painting the outside, would I need to take everything out?

If you do just use spray-paint, make sure to prime it first.

Krylon makes some good spray-paint. I used all krylon products in painting my dummy pci fancard as well as my little hole-blocking piece of painted acrylic glass.

    Krylon primer = $3
    Krylon flat black = $3
    Krylon chrome = $3

It would be easier to take the Sides & Top & Front Panels off to paint. You will be adding several coats and wet sanding so Yes you need to take your case apart.
