    Omfg! Help! Disc Is Stuck

    the case isa dell dimension 8100 and i never take comps apart or anything i was gonna reformat any quick way to get the disc out?

    Do you mean a CD out of the drive? If so grab a paper clip, and bend the paper clip out straight; then just stick it into the tiny hole on the drive, you can then maunally open the drive by pushing. Good Luck

    However, only SOME drives are able to do this. Also, make sure it's in the right hole and make sure that you due it right. A friend of mine messed up his complete drive by pushing it in too much. The button inside got stuck, and he had to throw the drive.

    It probably was a hunk of crap if it got stuck. If not you can always take apart the drive itself its not too hard at all.

    heh I remember my old Panasonic 7582 drive, had a fake non-existant paperclip hole to eject the media, only found out it was fake after I opened it up

    if you are talking about the floppy drive, take a credit card, phone card, or anything else that resembles the above and stick it above the disk.. then hit the eject button..

    with a little work you will be able to get it out
