Need a new Proc and Mother board suggestions

My proc fried the other day so instead of just upgrading the processor I want a new motherboard too, my old Motherboard was a A7V with only a 200 front side. I'd really like to get a motherboard that handled both SD and DDR, because I dont have the money to go full out for a DDR board and DDR,

What Im plugging into the motherboard is, Gainward Gf4 4400, herculies Gametheater XP, 40g WD hard drive, 512 sd ram.

gimmie some suggestions, Im not apposed to going with a P4 as apposed to a AMD XP.

If you want a board that handles DDR and SDR, the only one that I know of is the ECS K7S5A, which is a sis 735 chipset based motherboard, and is very cheap, around $55. As far as a CPU is concerned, I'd recomend that you go for something in the Athlon XP 1800+ range, but make your decision on how much you want to spend for the speed you get. Edit: DONT GET A P4 WITH SDRAM. They are incredibly slow, as the lack of memory bandwidth castrates the P4 core...

You either love them or you hate them.. I personally love them for budget PC's. I haven't had a problem with them yet..

a friend of mine has that board which he bought on my recommendation, and he hasn't had a problem with it yet... He's using the onboard LAN, and it's worked without a hiccup.
