    Audio Connector

Someone told me about a device that I could hook my stereo to my computer with that used a Cat-5 cable instead of the rca plugs. He believed it was made by Linksys, but I can't find it on their website. I am curious if anyone here knows of a way that I can easily and inexpensively connect my computer to my stereo without using rca plugs. The devices are two rooms away from each other, and I don't really want a wire stretching that far. Also, if there is a device that can do this with 5.1 connections, that would be awesome. Let me know of anything you guys think of.
Some day, that fateful finger from above will point down, and it will be pointing at me.

    easily and inexpensively
Two words that often dont coexsist, well.

To date I dont know of a single item that can provide connectivity more easily and inexpesively then cabling. How much cabling is entirely dependent on how far away the two units are.
