    Old school question

How much better is a ATI 7000 64meg video card from a TNT 16meg card? Is there a big difference?
    Athlon 64 3700+
    2GB Micron DDR400
    Shuttle ST20G5 SFF
    ATI X800XL 256mb
    Seagate 160GB
    Generic 8x4x8x DVD+-RW
    Dell 17" Trinitron (just bought a 2005fpw!!)

And my soon to be 1.5TB server

The Radeon 7000 should be much better. It has more bandwidth and more fillrate and memory bandwidth saving technologies. I think the TNT had 180megatexels/sec and around 2GB of memory bandwidth and the Radeon 7000 outperforms all of these.
